What is this class about?
This class is a challenging class for me, as a teacher and for the kids with all the new things that they will learn inshaa Allah.
The class starts at 5:30 p.m and ends at 7 p.m, during this time they will be learning the tafseer (exegisis), translation and memorizing a hadith or an ayah that relates to thier life. My main focus is on statements that relate to descipline, living Islam and how to put them in action.
They will be taught how to use these statements in thier words. The plan is to memorize at least 40 hadiths with thier complete translation, meanings and how they relate to our life. Later they will be tauhgt how to make short presentations using the things that they had learned.
There will be tests inshaa Allah, and different contests. They will be offered a certificate to encourage them.
Bonus time 7-8 p.m
Due to the high demand on Quran memorization, I have given more time for those that want to stay and memorize and be tested on thier Quran
So, at 7 p.m they will have a 10 minute break, and some may want to leave, the rest may stay and work on thier Quran in class. We already have three groups in the memorization 7-8 group.

The hadith that we studied
عن ابن عمر رضي الله عنه قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: “من تشبّه بقوم فهو منهم” رواه أبو داود وأحمد
Ibn Omar: is Abdallah Ibn Omar Ibn Alkhattab, one of the prophets companions who was very keep on applying the sunnah in his life.
رضي الله عنه: May Allah be pleased with him, a duaa usually made for the sahaba, but may also be used for other people.
قال: said the hadith was heard by Abdallah Ibn Omar and was passed on to others until it reached us.
صلى الله عليه وسلم Peace be upon him, a duaa made by Muslim to ask Allah Almighty to shed his Mercy and forgive the prophet peace be upon him in order to be granted the intercession.
من: Who ever, which tells us that it includes anyone who does the action mentioned in the hadith
تشبه: imitates, copies
بقوم: any group of people
فهو: then he or she is
منهم: from them.
General meaning for the hadith: Who ever imtates a group of people whether that was in ther dress, behaviour, subjects talked about, actions then he is from them. Therefore, a Muslim should always preserve his religion by holding on to the sunnah rather than imitating any group of people. Imitating any group of people will eventually effect our heart and actions and become a habit.
Homework: Even they we had memorized the hadith in class, but they are required to review it and study the meanings.
7-8 p.m Bonus class: Mahak, Sarah (Egypt), Kamal and Ayan: review all Juzu Amma
Abdelrazzak, Maryam, Yousef, Sarah and Salma memorize Surah Altakathur.
